A local man who is a registered sex offender is facing more time in prison after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography in U.S. District Court.
The execution of a search warrant at Brandon Hayward’s Canandaigua apartment two years ago turned up several digital devices that were seized for possible firearms offenses and were found to contain child pornography. In addition to the pictures, several videos Hayward produced via Skype in 2017 involving a 16-year-old from another state were found.
Hayward, who was convicted in 2000 of sexual abuse, faces up to ten years in prison when sentenced in March.
