The report of a gun on the campus of Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES in Ontario County on Thursday resulted in one student being detained.
The School Resource Officer and school security at the Finger Lakes Technical and Career Center in Stanley were able to find the student in less than five minutes and determined the weapon they had was a BB gun. No injuries were reported and no additional threats were uncovered through an investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, which is ongoing.
