SHARE NOW

Police are looking for the driver of a cement truck that was involved in an accident at the intersection of State Route 104 and Lincoln Road in the town of Ontario Monday afternoon.

According to witnesses, the cement truck entered the turning lane at the intersection before re-entering the Eastbound lane on State Route 104. A car driven by 67-year-old Anne Dapolito, of Lyons, was also traveling eastbound on State Route 104. Dapolito observed the cement truck re-entering the eastbound lane and attempted to stop prior to colliding with the cement truck to no avail. A third vehicle, operated by 31-year-old Aaron Bailey, of Williamson was also traveling east and attempted to stop before colliding with Dapolito’s vehicle, also to no avail.

As a result of the crashes, Dapolito was transported by Ontario Town Ambulance to Rochester General Hospital where she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Burley was uninjured as a result of the crash.

The operator of the cement truck fled the scene prior to patrols’ arrival. Therefore, no further information is available at this time regarding the cement truck or its operator.
