A Canandaigua man faces multiple charges after being arrested twice the same day.
In the first incident, Sean Rankin was charged with criminal mischief and harassment for a disturbance at a Chapin Street home. It was alleged the 57-year-old pulled another person’s hair after they turned Rankin’s music down. When the victim attempted to call the police, Rankin allegedly knocked the phone out of their hand twice.
In the second incident, which occurred about 14 hours later, Rankin was again arrested at a Chapin Street address for allegedly violating a stay-away order of protection by approaching the home of the protected party. While being arrested, Rankin allegedly attempted to fight with police. He was charged with criminal contempt and resisting arrest.
Rankin was sent to Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
