Canandaigua Police have arrested a 32-year-old Rochester man on criminal possession of a forged instrument charge.
It is alleged that on October 26th Ian Samson traveled from Rochester to Canandaigua and attempted to cash a forged check at a bank in the city of Canandaigua. Police say astute bank staff immediately identified the check as forged and contacted the Canandaigua Police Department.
Samson was released without bail and is scheduled to appear in the city of Canandaigua Court on a later date.
