We still don’t know the cause of a fire that damaged a vacant home in the village of Watkins Glen.
The fire at 104 Lakeview Avenue broke out shortly before eight last Tuesday morning. When Watkins Glen Fire Chief Hudson arrived on the scene he found heavy smoke and flames showing from the Charlie/Delta corner of the structure.
Montour Falls, Burdett, and Dundee fire departments all responded to the scene under mutual aid. The Schuyler County Emergency Management Office also responded as did the Watkins Glen Police Department.
The investigation is ongoing.
