The investigation into suspected animal abuse has resulted in the arrest of a Sodus woman.
It’s alleged that 27-year-old Megan McCarthy left three dogs inside her Ridge Road home for several days without food or water. Investigators say all three dogs were confined to the home and left to sit and lay in their own urine and feces.
McCarty will appear in town court to answer her charges of failure to provide sustenance or water at a later date.
