The Tompkins County Public Library announces a planned closure during which Tompkins County facilities will finalize updates to the building’s heating, ventilation, and cooling (HVAC) system on Monday. Officials say the library will be closed from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
The HVAC project, the bulk of which was completed earlier this month, was focused on updating the controls, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and ventilation fans. These changes help reduce the library’s carbon footprint and support Tompkins County’s green goals for a sustainable future. The brief closure on Monday will allow facilities to make some final adjustments to the new system.
