A man from the town of Veteran is jailed in lieu of $1 million bail following an investigation by State Police that led to his arrest and another man’s following the investigation into the report of child sex abuse.
33-year-old Joseph Storch is charged with felony sex trafficking of a child while 68-year-old Edward Wheaton, of Elmira, was arrested on a warrant charging him with predatory sexual assault against a child. Wheaton was arrested in North Carolina where he was charged as a fugitive from justice and is awaiting extradition back to New York.
The investigation is ongoing and future charges are anticipated.
