Farmington Woman Accused of Using 1-Year-Old to Prevent Arrest

SHARE NOW

A Farmington woman was arrested by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office following the investigation of a domestic incident at the Finger Lakes Hotel.

When deputies arrived, Brittany Foringer allegedly destroyed another person’s cell phone in front of a one-year-old child. Foringer is also accused of refusing to comply with deputies by using the one-year-old as a barrier between them in an attempt to prevent her from being taken into custody. Deputies were eventually able to safely take the child from Foringer and arrest the 37-year-old.

Foringer was charged with criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child, and obstruction of governmental administration. Child Protective Services were contacted.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the State Police in its investigation.
