An 11-year employee of the Geneva City School District has been appointed its new director of technology.
Nicole Campbell has worked for the district since 2012, first as a math teacher and instructional coach and later as technology integrator before becoming assistant principal of Geneva Middle School in 2022.
“Nicole has been with the district for over a decade. Her previous experience in educational technology, combined with her work as a school-building leader and educator, make her uniquely suited to the role of director of technology,” said Superintendent Bo Wright. “We are excited to welcome her to her new position.”
Campbell replaces Katie McFarland, who accepted a position outside the district. “Katie has been able to move the district forward in her year with us, and we’re grateful for her time in the district,” said Wright.
Campbell has a master’s in education with a specialization as an education technology specialist from Nazareth College, a bachelor’s in adolescent education 7–12, specializing in math and special education, from Keuka College, and a bachelor’s in mathematics, also from Keuka College. She has a certificate in educational leadership from SUNY Oswego.
