An Elmira woman has been arrested on a warrant out of Yates County when was was recently incarcerated at the Steuben County Jail.

The warrant for 32-year-old Kiersten Smith’s arrest stemmed from her apparent failure to appear in Milo Town Court on welfare fraud and petit larceny charges.

Smith was arrested Friday at the Steuben County Jail and brought to the Yates County Jail to await arraignment.
