Car Collides With Motorcycle in Ontario County

The intersection of State Route 332 and Parkside Drive in the town of Canandaigua was closed for about three hours Monday night following a car versus motorcycle accident.

Police say at around 7:15 p.m., 71-year-old Karen Rattray of Canandaigua was attempting to turn left into the Tom Wahl’s plaza when she struck a southbound motorcycle with her Kia Sorrento. 65-year-old Arnold Christensen of Rochester was airlifted by Lifenet to Strong Memorial Hospital for undisclosed injuries. He was later arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Rattray was taken to Thompson Hospital by Canandaigua Emergency Squad for undisclosed injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.

The Canandaigua Fire Department also responded to the scene.
