A traffic stop on Central Avenue in the town of Jerusalem Saturday night resulted in the arrest of a Clarence, New York, man.
40-year-old Shawn Duchscherer was stopped for a vehicle and traffic infraction. Upon interviewing Duchscherer, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected by deputies, who placed the driver through a series of Field Sobriety tests. Duchscherer was arrested for Common Law DWI and was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital for a blood draw.
Duchscherer was released on appearance tickets to appear in Jerusalem Town Court for further court proceedings.
