The 4th Annual Schuyler County Farm Tour Weekend returns this weekend with the county’s finest farms once more opening their doors to the public, offering tours, tastings, hayrides, demonstrations, apple picking, shopping, and opportunities to meet the farm animals.
The Friday-Sunday event is organized by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schuyler County with support from the Watkins Glen Chamber of Commerce. Guests can purchase all sorts of items from the farm, including produce, cheeses, apples, cider, donuts, pies, and alpaca products.
The weekend is kicking off this year with a celebration preview night at the Chateau La Fayette Reneau on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Guests will be treated with tours of the vineyard at 5:45 and 6:30, along with light appetizers, and door prizes.
The Chateau event is designed to highlight the farm experiences Schuyler County has to offer, recognize the Farm Tour Weekend farms, and connect the public to the strong area agritourism.
There is no cost to attend the Chateau event on Friday and registration is recommended, although not required. Click here to register today.
