A multi-county investigation into what authorities say is a “criminal enterprise” that robbed homes, camps, storage units and even stole cars, has resulted in the arrest of four men.

“Operation Clean Soak” netted the arrests of Devin Twist of Bath, Adam Hosmer, of Avoca, Jon Janelli, of Pulteney, and Maurice Lake, of Rochester, on 62 counts related to crimes that occurred in Yates, Steuben, Ontario, and Seneca counties as well as in Pennsylvania.

Brooks Baker, the Steuben County District Attorney, said the four men operated together to commit crimes for the purpose of not only gaining money but also to bring drugs into the region by trading stolen property for them.  Baker said additional arrests are pending.

The investigation has included the Yates, Seneca, Ontario and Steuben County Sheriff’s Offices, New York State Police, the Seneca Falls Police Department, the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office and Pennsylvania State Police in Mansfield.
