    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 15 to 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Police: Roommate Fight Leads to Stabbings in Steuben County

Two men are recovering after State Police said they stabbed each other during a fight in Steuben County.

New York State Police in Bath responded to 8077 Bauter Road in the town of Avoca Saturday night for a report of a stabbing.  Upon arrival, law enforcement located two injured males, 55-year-old Richard Randall and 49-year-old Adam Rounds. An investigation revealed a physical altercation took place at the residence between the two males, who are roommates. During the altercation, both Randall and Rounds suffered knife wound injuries.

Rounds was taken by ambulance to Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville and later to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.  Randall was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released for non-life-threatening injuries.

Randall was arrested on felony second-degree assault 2nd. Randall was transported to the Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment and sent to Steuben County Jail with no bail.

The New York State Police were assisted at the scene by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, Bath Ambulance, Bath AMR, and Avoca Fire Department.

This remains an ongoing investigation.
