An extensive investigation by police has resulted in a 40-year-old Ovid man being indicted by a Seneca County Grand Jury on charges related to an incident involving sexual contact with a minor.
In August of 2021, George Stetson allegedly subjected a family member who was under the age of 13 to sexual contact without their consent. Police say the incident happened in Seneca Falls.
A sealed indictment charged Stetson with sexual abuse and predatory sexual assault, both felonies, along with a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child. Stetson was jailed in lieu of bail.
