The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is sharing some crime statistics for the county.
So far this year, 1,070 vehicles have been stolen, with approximately 50% of them being Kias or Hyundias.
The Sheriff’s Office has also recovered 71 firearms, a 122% increase over the same time period last year.
Outside of Syracuse, 40 smoke shops have been burglarized since mid-June.
