With the help of OnStar, a pickup truck that was reportedly stolen from a residence in the town of Phelps was recovered from a parking lot in Central New York.
The Manlius Police Department responded to the parking lot and found a 23-year-old Syracuse man inside the stolen automobile. The occupant, Jeramiah Canery, was taken into custody without incident and charged with criminal possession of stolen property as well as grand larceny.
Canery, who is on parole, is being held at the Onondaga County Jail without bail.
