Governor Kathy Hochul’s favorability rating has hit a new low.
A Siena College Research Institute Poll puts the governor’s favorability at 40%, with 46% viewing her unfavorably. When it comes to her job approval rating, that stands at 46% approval and 46% disapproval.
This is the fifth consecutive Siena Poll that has seen Hochul’s approval rating drop since her highest approval rating in January.
While voters support her tackling climate change, the majority of New Yorkers disapprove of how she is handling crime and the recent influx of migrants.
In her two years as governor, she has yet to have at least 50% of voters view her favorably.
