The DEC regional director for Central New York has been named.
Dereth Glance has been named as the Department of Environmental Conservation’s Region 7 director.
Prior to joining the DEC, she worked as Executive Director of the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency and was appointed by President Obama as U.S. Commissioner at the International Joint Commission which handles water issues between the US and Canada.
Region 7 covers the Central New York area, including Cayuga, Onondaga, and Tompkins counties.
