A Moravia judge has been suspended while an investigation is underway.
According to The Citizen, June Shepardson was suspended on July 5, meaning Judge Sheila Hargett-Kemp will handle all judicial matters in the town and village.
The Office of Court Administration did not provide further details on the matter but noted that the investigation is continuing.
Shepardson was first elected to the position in 2001 and has been reelected four times, most recently in 2021.
