
The race for Seneca Falls Town Supervisor is taking shape as political newcomer Frank Schmitter defeated incumbent Supervisor Mike Ferrara in Tuesday’s Republican primary. According to the Seneca County Board of Elections website the vote count was 343-to-195.
Schmitter, an investigator with the Seneca County District Attorney’s Office, will run on the Republican line in November. Ferrara will run on the Conservative Party Line. Ferrara is a retired teacher and administrator in the Geneva, Waterloo, and Seneca Falls School Districts.
Democrats have not yet selected a candidate for the general election.
