Stabbing in Steuben County Leads to Arrest

A Steuben County man is jailed following a weekend stabbing in Corning.

Adam Clark of Hornell is accused of stabbing a 33-year-old man in the chest after a verbal disagreement the two had on Saturday. When police arrived on the scene, the 29-year-old Clark had fled on foot. He was taken into custody a short time later and charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon and was jailed to await arraignment.

The victim, who was not identified, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
