“A summer of queer pride and resistance” that’s the heading on a flier from the Geneva Women’s Assembly.

The group plans a rally, a march through downtown, a speak-out at the Public Safety Building, and public comment at Wednesday night’s Geneva City Council Meeting.

They want to pack the council meeting room and demand that City Councilor Bill Pealer Jr. be held accountable for his homophobic and transphobic social media posts.  Pealer denies the allegations.

  • The rally begins at 5:30 at the FLCC parking lot on Pulteney Street.
  • The march begins at 5:45 and go through downtown.  Marchers are encouraged to demonstrate theor LGBTQ+ pride, power, and joy.
  • 6 pm is the speak-out at the Public Safety Building.
