A wildfire is under investigation in Seneca County.
According to the DEC, a forest ranger responded to an Ovid property Sunday morning for the complaint of a person burning rubbish which had spread to private property.
A ticket was issued to an unnamed individual for burning that endangers another’s property.
The DEC is investigating what was being burnt to determine if further charges should be filed.
