A Geneva man has been arrested on a felony charge of robbery after responding to an Exchange Street residence for the reported fight in progress.
When police arrived on the scene, they were met by a 37-year-old woman suffering from several injuries. An investigation determined that 57-year-old Gregory Jackson allegedly assaulted the woman several times with closed fists strikes and forcibly stole property from her. It is also alleged that when officers spoke to Jackson, he became irate and attempted to fight them. He was subsequently placed into custody without incident.
Jackson was taken to Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
The victim was treated at a local medical facility and released.
