The Newark Police Department has announced it has a new investigator.
Sergeant Nick Dapolito has taken over the position which was vacated by the retirement of former Investigator Jay Warren.
Dapolito began his police career with the Village of Clyde in 2007 and joined the Newark PD in 2008. In 2019, he was promoted to sergeant.
His first official day was last Monday and Dapolito will spend the rest of the month learning the ropes from Warren.
