    Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

    There will be several periods of stronger winds, with this afternoon seeing strong southerly winds, then a break this evening, before stronger west wind develop tonight into Saturday.

DMV Adjusts Hours Due to Staffing

Ontario County Department of Motor Vehicles officials have announced a temporary adjustment of its Canandaigua office hours in response to staffing levels.

Effective Monday, hours of operation for the DMV located at 20 Ontario St., Canandaigua, will be Monday and Tuesday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; and Wednesday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

In addition, hours for specific DMV services will be available as follows:

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) testing will be conducted Monday through Thursday until 1:00 pm.
  • Enhanced Driver’s License (EDL) and REAL ID license upgrades, Monday through Friday, except between 12:00 and 1:30 pm.
  • Auto dealer service, Monday through Thursday at the start of business until 11:00 am and afternoon hours of 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm, and Friday start of business until 11:00 am.

“This is a temporary adjustment of hours as the department manages current staffing levels, ” Ontario County Assistant Deputy Clerk Tracy Shaw said. “We anticipate all regular DMV hours will resume as quickly as possible.”
