Watkins Glen residents now have another way to safely dispose of old and unused medications in their households.
The Village Police Department has added a drug disposal container in the lobby of the Village Office at 303 North Franklin Street. The lobby is open to the public on weekdays from 8 until 4:30.
In addition to unused or expired prescription meds, residents can also drop off unused or expired over-the-counter medication and pet medications. Schedule One controlled substances and illegal drugs will not be accepted.
