Waterloo Wins Class B Federation Championship

SHARE NOW

The Waterloo Lady Tigers closed out their championship season Sunday afternoon, winning the New York State Class B Federation Championship, 68-35, over the Preston Panthers at Shenendehowa High School.

Unlike last weekend when the Tigers won the state championship, it was a quiet return home Sunday night. The team’s chartered bus arrived back in Waterloo to a parking lot of parents.  There was no parade through the village like last weekend.

The team and coaches gathered for a celebration at Ciccino’s Pizzeria and Restaurant were the girls enjoyed dinner and a chance to autograph the basketball that will go into the school’s trophy case.
