Seneca Falls firefighters were called to 17 Troy Street just after 4 a.m. Sunday morning for a house fire and reports of one person on the roof of the home.
The person was quickly rescued from the roof.
Flames could be seen at the on the north side of the home. The fire was quickly brought under control.
One man was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Red Cross was contacted to help one other person with housing.
The Seneca County Fire Investigation Team is looking for the cause of the fire.

On Sunday March 26th at 4:13 A.M. the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched by the Seneca County 911 Center for a reported structure fire on Troy Street with the homeowner trapped on the roof. Automatic mutual aid from Fayette, Waterloo, Geneva, and North Seneca Ambulance was also dispatched. Chief Larsen (1461) called enroute shortly after dispatch. Deputy Chief Farnsworth (1462) arrived within 3 minutes of dispatch and reported a two story residential with flames showing. After further investigation by 1462 it was determined that local law enforcement members had gotten the homeowner off the roof and another resident had escaped on his own prior to FD arrival. Seneca Falls Quint 1, Engine 3, Engine 1, Squad 51, and Squad 52 all responded. Members went to work upon arrival with assistance from Waterloo Fire Department and Fayette Vol Fire Dept . Finger Lakes Ambulance responded and performed rehab while North Seneca transported a patient. Chief Larsen placed the fire under control within the first 30 minutes and requested the Seneca County Fire Investigation Team to the scene. All units clear of the scene and back in service by 8:00 A.M.
