Legislation introduced in Washington by Congresswoman Claudia Tenney is aimed at helping protect pro-life pregnancy centers from attacks and ensure attackers are held accountable for their violent actions.
The Pregnancy Resource Center Defense Act would increase penalties for attacks against abortion-alternative providers and places of religious worship by increasing criminal penalties and imposing a seven year mandatory minimum when attacks involve arson.
A pro-life pregnancy center in western New York was firebombed in June of last year and was vandalized once again last week.
