Generations Bank will be unveiling the first of eleven plaques in their new “Women’s Walk of Fame” project during a groundbreaking event at their headquarters in Seneca Falls on May 12th.

The eleven bronze plaques have been created to honor women of distinction in multiple categories in which their work is most recognized in Social Justice, Military, Arts, STEM, Pioneers, Business, and Athletics. The plaques were funded in conjunction with the Right to Run 19K, Inc. and will be placed in front of businesses in downtown Seneca Falls, where they are planned to be installed in the sidewalks to resemble the “Hollywood Walk of Fame.”” The first of the eleven plaques will be placed in the Generations Bell Park located on the corner of East Bayard Street and White Street.

“We are excited and honored to be able to display these plaques of distinction in front of our headquarters as well as other businesses in Seneca Falls, with hopes to get other businesses involved to help grow the walk of fame throughout the community” states Menzo Case, President & CEO of Generations Bank.

Generations plans to hold a public unveiling of the plaques, which will include the installation of the first plaque, and will also showcase the ten other businesses and recipients of the remaining plaques to be placed. The groundbreaking event will have refreshments, light fare, and more plaques describing the importance of the women chosen for the walk of fame.
