A local business is helping the Penn Yan Police Department keep the residents it serves safe.
Nick Fratto at Fratto Curbing on Route 14A in Geneva donated $10,000 to the village law enforcement agency to help assist in upgrading their handguns.
In a post on its Facebook page, the Penn Yan Department thanked Fratto for the donation and said with firearm technology having come a long way over the past several years, this donation will allow the department to make necessary purchases.
