Two house fires in Ontario County were reported just minutes apart Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to 1039 Lake-to-Lake Road in the town of Seneca. White Springs, Hall, and Bellona Fire Departments quickly contained the fire, but it caused significant damage. The Red Cross is helping the residents with temporary housing.
Manchester, Shortsville, Clifton Springs, Phelps, Canandaigua, and Farmington firefighters responded to 5012 Herendeen Road in Shortsville for a home that was fully engulfed with fire. The home was ruled a total loss.
The cause of the fires remains under investigation.
