The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the Wayne County Department of Social Services, reports the arrest of a Town of Lyons man following an investigation into a fraud complaint in the Town of Lyons.
Deputies arrested Arthur D. Aldrich, age 64, of Canal Street in the Town of Lyons for Petit Larceny and Misuse of Food Stamps, both misdemeanors. The charges stem from an investigation into a fraud complaint and it is alleged that Aldrich, who was a recipient of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), allowed two individuals to use his benefit card in the amount of $399.42, which violates the agreement.
Aldrich was released on an appearance ticket and is set to appear in the Town of Lyons Court at a later date to answer the charges.
