UPDATE:
Just one day after calling hours were held for his brother-in-law in Auburn, President Joe Biden made a stop in Central New York on Saturday. The White House labeled the visit as a “local stop in Syracuse” and would not provide any additional information.
After Air Force One touched down at Hancock International Airport, the President’s motorcade took him and his son, Hunter, to a residence in Camillus. Michael Hunter passed away last week and according to his obituary, calling hours were held on Friday with no details released regarding a funeral. It is believed a family gathering for Hunter, who was a resident of Skaneateles, was held at the home in Camillus on Saturday.
The media was first alerted to the President’s possible visit after receiving an announcement from the Syracuse airport around 8:30 Saturday morning that the FAA had placed a Temporary Flight Restriction over Syracuse from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
