HEAL Schuyler received a total of 32 photo submissions for the contest. The pictures represented various ways to be active and healthy in Schuyler County. They included taking hikes, time spent at the lake, in the garden, and fishing. Various age groups were represented, from younger community members to older adults.
“We were excited to see all the activities that people do to “HEAL” in Schuyler County,” shared Elizabeth Watson, a member of HEAL Schuyler. “The Committee did a blind vote on the photos submitted for each season to select the prize winners.”
HEAL Schuyler photo contest winners were:
- Summer – 20 photos were submitted for summer. The summer photo winner was Emily Warfle with her photo titled “Balance”
- Fall – 7 photos were submitted for fall. The fall photo winner was Nancy Cole with her photo titled “80-year-old completes 5k”
- Winter – 5 photos were submitted for winter. The winter photo contest winner was Brad Hoffman with his photo titled “Ice Skating”
Prizes for winners included a $50 gift card to Elf and the Oak and a $25 gift card from Tops.
