    Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

    Narrow bands of lake effect snow are expected today and tonight, along with significant blowing and drifting snow across the area.

    Portions of central New York and northeast Pennsylvania.

    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 15 to 30 minutes.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    The coldest wind chills are expected over the exposed, higher elevations this morning and again tonight into Sunday morning. Northwest winds will be gusting between 30 to 45 mph at times today. Isolated power outages are possible.

John Katko Joins Lobbying Firm Staffed by Former Aides

One former congressman has joined a lobbying firm staffed by his former top aides.

John Katko has joined HillEast Group. Founded by Katko’s former chief of staff, Brad Gentile, the DC based group also features former Katko staff Zach Howell and Erin O’Connor Elliott.

Katko will serve in an advisory capacity as former members of congress are barred from becoming lobbyists for one year after leaving office.

Katko had served as the representative for New York’s 24th Congressional District since 2015 before announcing he would not seek reelection in January of 2022.
