A Rochester woman pleaded guilty to a charge of felony criminally negligent homicide in Steuben County Court.
Nancy Alvarez admitted to selling fentanyl-laced heroin to Dana Crittenden, of Greenwood, in 2017. Crittenden’s body was found by family members in August of that year and an autopsy confirmed he died from the fentanyl-tainted drug. The 59 year old was indicted last month by a Steuben County grand jury on charges of manslaughter, reckless endangerment and criminal sale of a controlled substance, all felonies.
Alvarez faces up four years in prison when sentenced next month.
