The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff reports the arrest of Tamila Jackson-Kemp, age 25, of 58 Water Street Apt.1, in the Town of Lyons. The arrest stems from an investigation into a larceny from Kinney Drugs in the Town of Lyons. It is alleged that Jackson-Kemp entered the store on two separate occasions on 1/9/19. Each time she picked up the same item from an isle that she did not pay for worth $39.99 and brought it to the counter for a return. She claimed to not have a receipt for the item and was successful in fraudulently returning the item for a refund. The first time Jackson-Kemp was “refunded” $39.99 in cash and the second time she was “refunded” $39.99 on a store gift card. Jackson-Kemp was subsequently arrested for two counts of Petit Larceny and was issued an appearance ticket to appear back in the Town of Lyons Court at a later date.
