William D. Pine, age 75, passed away at Elm Manor Nursing Home January 3, 2019.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service at 11 a.m., Wednesday (January 9, 2019) at St. John’s Episcopal Church located at 54 W Main St, Sodus, NY 14551.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. John’s Episcopal Church, the Alzheimer’s Association or the Hospice of Ontario in Yates County at 756 Pre-Emption Rd, Geneva, NY.
William was born and raised in Waterloo, N.Y. where he graduated from Waterloo High School in 1961. William joined the US Army and was an active member for 4 years. Later he became a member of the American Legion in Geneva, NY. William worked at the Seneca Army Depot, also at Fort Drum where he oversaw the 801 Housing for soldiers and families as well as the Army Corps of Engineers at the Baltimore District from 2001 to 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Smith Tyner Pine; children William P. Pine (Karey), Stephen Pine, Kristin Wheeler (Christopher) and Kathleen Mott (Richard); sister, Colleen Palm in N. Palm Beach, Fla.; step-children Danielle Tyner (Jason Williams), Sarah Tyner (Paul Lyman) and Gary Tyner Jr.; grandchildren Olivia Pine, Logan Pine, Kelsie Wheeler and Carson Wheeler; step-grandchildren Tyner Williams, Aiden Lyman and Oliver Lyman.
William was predeceased in death by his parents William Joseph Pine and Anna May Manna.
