GENEVA- The Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that the 2019 Annual Dinner Banquet, which will be held on Thursday, January 24, will be sponsored by Zotos International Inc., a subsidiary of Henkel Corporation. Zotos was the 2010 Business of the Year recipient.
The event will be held at Club 86 in Geneva. Promotional sponsors for the event are The Eye Care Center, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and Reliant Community Credit Union.
In addition, the Chamber has announced the award recipients for the 2019 Annual Dinner. The Business of the Year award will be presented to CCN International, to honor the company’s business growth and dedication to the region. Previously, the Chamber honored the Town of Geneva for the Business of the Year award, which was presented at the 2018 Annual Dinner.
“We are excited to be able to honor the accomplishments of CCN,” stated Miranda Odell, Chamber president. “Since moving the business to Geneva in 1986, CCN has shown its dedication to the importance of making quality products here in our own back yard, have aided in job creation, have supported economic development efforts, and have upheld commitments to local organizations, including the Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce.”
Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes has been named Non-Profit Organization of the Year. The agency is being recognized for its continued commitment and dedication to children and families in need.
“The work done by Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes makes our community, and membership, stronger,” Odell said.
The Chamber will also honor two Chamber Champions for the second year in a row. They will be awarded to members of the Chamber community who volunteer and support programs that the Chamber has implemented. The award will be given to two recipients: Alexa Wessie and Karen Dean, both with Reliant Community Credit Union and active Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.
The Chamber Champion award was introduced in 2018 when Chad Lahr of Community Proud Apparel and I Heart FLX, and Stacey Pierce, formerly of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, were honored. Both have been active board members and program volunteers.
“Without volunteers and ambassadors like Alexa and Karen, the Chamber would not be able to continue hosting and coordinating the many programs and events that it does on an annual basis,” Odell noted.
Reservations for the 2019 Annual Dinner must be made by Friday, Jan. 11. Individual tickets cost $75. For more information or to purchase tickets, please contact the Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce by calling 315-789-1776, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
