An Ontario County Grand Jury has indicted a Canandaigua man on charges of rape, kidnapping and criminal sexual act for an incident that occurred more than 10 years ago.
Michael Orbino is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in downtown Canandaigua on September 9th, 2008. He is being held at the Ontario County Jail for pre-arraignment.
Last October, Orbino was found not guilty of felony hate crime and harassment charges he faced stemming from an incident that occurred earlier in the year. He was accused of accosting two African-American teens at Baker Park last Valentine’s Day and yelling racial slurs at them.
Orbino was found guilty of a misdemeanor harassment charge and was sentenced to time served.
