Bonnie Ellis, 74, passed away December 20, 2018 at her home in Lecanto, FL.
Friends and family are invited to call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday (January 4), a funeral service will follow at Mull Funeral Home, 113 N. Virginia Street, Waterloo. Burial will be in the spring in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Bonnie’s family requests memorial donations be directed to The Alzheimer’s Association, 435 E. Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620 or to Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 E. River Street, Waterloo, NY 13165.
Bonnie was born February 3, 1944 in Phelps, the daughter of the late Andrew and Vernie (Edington) Adam. She graduated from Waterloo High in 1962, Finger Lakes Community College (Phi Theta Kappa) and Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Fine Arts. She went on to work for GTE Sylvania, Seneca Falls. Before her retirement to Florida she was a graphic designer for Wegmans in Geneva. During her free time she was a member of the Seneca Sound Waves, TOPS and Home Dem. She was also a talented artist; her art will be displayed at the funeral home.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Thomas Ellis whom she married August 12, 1977. In addition to her loving husband she is also survived by her daughters Dawn (Mike) Schell of Waterloo and Wendy (Jim) Pokrzywa of Seneca Falls; her beloved grandchildren Megan (Clint) Mazzoli Small, Lindsay Schell, Shelby Pokrzywa, Rebecca Schell, and Andrew Schell; great-grandchildren Josslyne and Jaxxon; her sister, Gail (John) Bruciak of Brownsville, Texas.; several cousins.
