The Finger Lakes Health Foundation has announced the appointment of Helen Kelley as the new director of Development.
An accomplished fundraising professional with more than 10 years of experience, Kelley comes to Finger Lakes Health from Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) in Syracuse, NY, where she was director of Alumni and Annual Giving. She served as coordinator for Alumni and Annual Giving at CBA from 2007 to 2010, and then served as director of Development at Hiscock Legal Aid Society before returning to CBA in the director’s position.
In her new position, Kelley will guide the Finger Lakes Health Foundation in its mission to cultivate, secure and steward philanthropic gifts to support the capital, programmatic and endowment needs of Finger Lakes Health. Gifts to the Foundation support programs and special projects of Finger Lakes Health and its affiliated entities – Geneva General Hospital, Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Living Centers at Geneva North and South, Huntington Living Center, The Homestead and physician practices, as well as grants to support health and health-education programs and projects in Ontario, Yates, Seneca and Wayne counties.
Kelley holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in psychology from Tufts University, Medford, MA. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Syracuse Pops Chorus, where she serves as a vocalist, board member, grant writer and chair of the fundraising committee.
