In response to the three alleged incidents of attempted child abductions in Geneva and another in Ovid, Penn Yan Village Police Chief Thomas Dunham says his department will be stepping up patrols at drop off and pick up locations around the village.
Chief Dunham says there is no indication of any abduction attempts in Penn Yan but did state it is important for students, staff and parents to remain vigilant. Dunham suggests children be aware of safe places they can get to and what hey should do if such an event should ever arise.

Geneva Police continue their investigation looking for a white male driving a black minivan. There were reports yesterday that the minivan involved in the incidents was spotted in the Town and Country Plaza on Hamilton Street.
