The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office’s Welfare Fraud Investigation Unit, along with the county’s Department of Social Services announces the arrest of a 34 year old Arcadia woman on multiple charges.
It is alleged that Nicole MaCaulay was a recipient of SNAP benefits that were distributed by the Wayne County Department of Social Services. On December 11th, 2017, MaCaulay allegedly submitted a SNAP re-certification to the DSS and failed to report she was working at Reflections in Newark. As a result of her failing to report her income, MaCaulay fraudulently received 2-THOUSAND dollars worth of SNAP benefits. She was charged with offering a false instrument for filing, welfare fraud and grand larceny.
MaCaulay will appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date.
